Placement Cell

The Training and Placement Cell (T&P Cell) was established in the year 2013 with Mr. Ch Rajaniprashanth as Training and Placement Officer. It plays a pivotal role in counselling and guiding the students for their successful career placements. The Cell aims to provide continuous training, placement and internship opportunities to the students. It is also responsible for training all the students in different aspects like aptitude, soft skills and technical training which helps in placements. The T&P Cell is helpful in the placement of hundreds of students in many prestigious companies in the country. Faculty members from each department are co- opted as members of the Placement Cell. Students are exposed to working environments in various MNCs through industrial visits. They are also given information about the importance of internships and provided with opportunities. Seminars and informative sessions on higher education are organized.

Activities:

 1. Counseling for Higher studies

The Training & Placement Cell provides career counseling. Any student can contact the Career Guidance Cell to discuss their field of interests and analyze the possible career prospects. This enables the student in developing his/her career plan. The Cell organizes interactive sessions on career guidance from industry experts and professional trainers on a regular basis.

  The following are some of the programs organized as a part of counseling for Higher Studies

  • Awareness programs on GATE, GRE, IELTS& CAT for Higher education and Overseas education
  • Conduct of webinars
  • Organizing GATE and IELTS Mock tests

2. Pre-Placement Training:

As a part of Pre-placement training and skill development, Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) is conducted right from the II year. The training is given on Quantitative Aptitude, Logical reasoning, Verbal Aptitude, Computer Fundamentals, Programming, Coding, Technical skills, Soft Skills, Interview Skills, Resume Preparation, Email Etiquette, Telephone Etiquette and technical skills. Mock GDs and mock interviews are also conducted. Mentors, HODs in coordination with Placement Cell and Faculty members organize Campus Recruitment Training for all the students of College. This is provided through external agencies at regular intervals. Further, the T&P Cell organizes:

  • Pre-Placement Training also includes the practice of online /offline assessments for the students to practice aptitude, programming and coding skills. The students are trained thoroughly to succeed in the placement process.
  • The Cell organizes technical training programs and guest lectures on personality development by eminent personalities from industry and academics, which is aimed at developing soft skills and career planning.
  • The technical certification programs like IT Essentials, CCNA, and Oracle Certification are also conducted.

3. Placement Process and support:
 The college interacts with several leading companies and invites them to the campus for the placements of the students. The students are informed prior in hand about various placement drives and the requirements of the companies. Students prepare well by making use of the facilities provided by the college.

Placement cell verifies and validates student data, prepares and shares the database with Firms/ Companies. It also assists and facilitates the recruitment teams in conducting online assessment tests, group discussions and personal interviews. Further, the Cell is:

  • Organizes interactive sessions with firms and inviting them to the campus for hiring. Collects the Job Description (JD) from companies and short-lists the candidates to suit the needs of the organizations.
  • Coordinates with firms/companies for the conduct of written tests, interviews etc. on college campus.
  • Facilitates on campus and off campus recruitment drives.
  • Regular interaction with alumni is arranged.

4. Internship Support:

Placement Cell motivates the students to join internship programs offered by various organizations so that students are able to learn from the real time development of applications.
