MSME Business Incubation Center

  • Matrusri Engineering College is the registered Business Incubator of MoMSME. The MoMSME provides Rs.15.0 Lac to each of the best ideas of students, Faculty or MSMEs.

MECS HI/BI has conducted 4 Idea Hackathons since 2022.

  • Under Idea Hackathon 1.0, MECS HI/BI has uploaded 10 Ideas out of 22 ideas received. The institute got two Ideas approved and total fund is released to the Incubatees. The prototypes are under Final stage.   The details are as under.

  • Funding For Plant & Machinery: Since the HI/BI got 2 ideas approved, we got the sanction of Rs. 10 Crore for plant & Machinery. In September 2023, a proposal for Plant & Machinery, worth Rs. 76,62,370 is submitted. But Rs.68,76,490.00 is recommended to Central committee for the final approval, by MSME Hyderabad. Waiting for the release of funds.

  • Under “Idea Hackathon 2.0(Theme based), MECS HI/BI has uploaded 14 ideas (after 1st round of scrutiny, out of 32 ideas received) for next round of selection in September 2023, but none was selected for funding.

  • Under “Idea Hackathon 3.0(Women), MECS HI/BI has uploaded 41 ideas (after 1st round of scrutiny, out of 56 ideas) for next round of selection in September 2023, (Women).” Two ideas have been approved for funding on 29.02.2024 as below and 70% of the funds are released for prototyping.

  • MSME, Idea Hackathon 4.0(Youth)-2024: Awareness programs conducted at other colleges viz. Methodist Engg college, Stanley Engineering College and Bhoj Reddy Engineering college for women. Received 32 ideas out of which 16 ideas were short listed after the college level screening and uploaded in the portal for next round of selection. Results awaited.
